As a long time performer, it has always been important to me to be able to feel confident and expressive on stage or camera.
I have not only had years of experience and training as your counselor, but also experience and training in acting, dance, and runway/figure modeling. Each has its own unique set of needs when it comes to managing anxiety and self awareness.

In my training in The Alexander Technique, being able to bring an increased awareness to my posture has been a tremendous influence on my mood, morale, and confidence. The way in which we sit, stand, walk, and present ourselves sends messages to our brains about what to expect from the experience. Should we be nervous? Or happy? Or anxious?

Sit for a moment... Find the top of your spine.... place your finger center of between your brow.... turn your head side to side fromt this place, as opposed to lower down the spine---nose area or neck area. Practice this a week and reflect on the differences in mood and neck health.
